Spam/Scam Calls
 
We have detected an increase in spam/scam calls of late, affecting users across many telcos.

They typically come in the form of robocalls - recorded voice messages which the spammers send to random phone numbers, hoping that someone will pick up and respond to their ‘alert’. These typically inform of an action you need to take to retrieve a certain important item or document, preying on the user’s fear. 
What Has Changi Mobile Done?
 
We have done the following for Changi Mobile customers: 

1) Verified every reported spam number with our network provider and block them permanently for all our subscribers; 

2) Reported the spam numbers to the relevant government agencies. 

3) For extra thoroughness, run our systems, agencies and internal teams through rigorous and regular checks to ensure that there are no data leaks in any way possible.

What Can You Do?

1) For Yourself :
- Install apps that can block such robocalls, for example, 
ScamShield (created by the Singapore Government).
- For scam-related incidents, you may do direct reporting to Singapore Police Force (SPF) on
Electronic Police Centre.

- For urgent reporting enquiry, you may call the Changi Mobile Hotline at +65 6701 1185

2) For The Community 
- For a quicker way, report the suspected scams to
National Crime Prevention Council using their Anti-Scam Hotline 1800-722-6688
- Report the spam caller’s number by adding it to the form below. Verified spam numbers in this list will be blocked from our network, thereby reducing the number of spam callers who can get through to Changi Mobile users.
