Can I retain my existing number with my current telco when I subscribe to Changi Mobile?
Yes, you can port in your existing number for free! For successful transfer, please note that the transferring number must be in active status under your existing telco. It must also be registered under your name and ID.
Will I be able to bring over the credits from my existing prepaid SIM card?
When you port into Changi Mobile, any existing credits from your prepaid line will not be available in Changi Mobile.
Do I need to terminate my line with my current telco in order to transfer the number to Changi Mobile?
No. Please keep your existing service active! Once transfer is successful, your service with the other telco will be terminated automatically.
Can I transfer the number from another telco that belongs to my friend to me?
The number must be registered under your name and ID for the transfer to be successful.
When can I choose to transfer a number to Changi Mobile?
You can submit your port-in request during plan sign-up. If you are not ready, you can also submit a request in Changi Go mobile app any time after you have started using Changi Mobile’s mobile services.
When is my port-in request processed?
Port-in request will be processed within 3 business days, excluding Sundays and PHs.
For port-in request submitted during plan sign-up, we will only start processing the port-in after you have received your SIM card and clicked on “I have received my Changi Mobile SIM” in your Changi Go app. This is to ensure that you are always connected, and do not terminate service with your previous telco before receiving your Changi Mobile SIM. Your Changi Mobile SIM comes with a Temporary Changi Mobile number, which we will inform via email.
For port-in request submitted for an existing Changi Mobile line, it will be processed within 3 business days.
Will there be any service disruption during Port in?
Please expect possible minimal service disruption between 22:00 on the day we start processing your request to 02:00 the next day.
What should I do if my port-in request fails?
If you are porting your prepaid number into Changi Mobile, depending on your prepaid line provider, you might not be able to port in your prepaid tourist SIM number. In case of doubt, please check back with your prepaid line provider.
Following your submission of port-in request to Changi Mobile, you will be notified via email on the status of your request. If your request failed, the email will also contain the failure reason(s). You shall resolve any outstanding issue(s) with the Donor telco. Your service with Changi Mobile will not be affected, and you can continue using your assigned Changi Mobile’s mobile number so long you keep the plan.
Will there be any refund if my port-in fails?
There is strictly no refund for your mobile plan and add-on subscriptions if your port-in to Changi Mobile fails, and you decide not to proceed with the port-in request.
After resolving your port-in failure issue(s), you can re-submit a port-in request in the Changi Go mobile app.
Are there any transfer fees for transferring my number from other telco to Changi Mobile?
There is no transfer fee. Please check if you are in any form of contract with your current telco as transferring of the number before your existing contract ends might incur early termination fee.
